The challenge

After a race, official photographers upload tens of thousands of photos. Runners then scroll through endless galleries hoping to spot themselves — most give up. Organisers wanted a way for every participant to find their photos instantly, without creating an account, and without manual tagging.

Our solution

We designed an end-to-end platform built around a single, obvious action: pick your event, type your BIB number, see every photo you appear in.

• An OCR and computer-vision pipeline detects race numbers in every uploaded photo and indexes them automatically.
• A mobile-first search experience that works on a tired runner's phone minutes after crossing the finish line.
• Event status tracking so participants know whether photos are still processing or ready to search.
• Print-quality downloads for events that offer them, with a simple checkout.
• Privacy-respecting analytics: tracking stays off until visitors opt in, and BIB searches are never sent to third parties.

The outcome

GoTag.me has grown into one of the most-used race photo platforms in Indonesia, covering running, cycling and other sports. Runners find their photos in seconds, organisers offer a better post-race experience, and photographers get their work in front of the people who want it most.
